This competition is organized by .my DOMAIN REGISTRY to celebrate innovation and creativity of .my websites.

This competition aims is to showcase the innovative ideas and implementation of a website, that ends with .my. Hence the theme, "Celebrating .my Innovation 2010". By acknowledging innovative websites, it can help promote the development of DNS technology in Malaysia.

The Winners of .my Innovation Award will receive prizes worth up to RM 100,000. The closing date of the competition is 31 October 2010.

.my DOMAIN REGISTRY [legal entity being MYNIC Berhad (Company No: 735031-H)] administers the .my domain and also assists in the policy development of .my domain in consultation with the Government of Malaysia and the local Internet community.

.my DOMAIN REGISTRY is an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and is regulated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commissions (MCMC).

What does .my DOMAIN REGISTRY do?

.my DOMAIN REGISTRY administers the name space for the .my top level domain (TLD). This involves the registration of domain names as well as the maintenance and operation of a domain name registry (a central database for .my domain names).

.my DOMAIN REGISTRY administers eight (8) domain name categories , namely:

	• .my	-	for Malaysian individuals and organizations
	• .com.my	-	for commercial organisation/activities
	• .net.my	-	for network-related organisations/activities
	• .org.my	-	for organisations/activities which do not qualify for other categories
	• .edu.my	-	for Malaysian educational organisations only
	• .gov.my	-	for Malaysian government organisations only
	• .mil.my	-	for Malaysian military organisations only
	• .name.my	-	for Malaysian individual’s personal use only
